Ashley is not him, Ashley is her! :D and thanks Yes, the servers are solar powered - if the grid goes out then the main internet connection will as well (as the operator's power connection is from the same power pole) but server itself should work fine for "30 hours with absolutely zero sun like in a December" :) and when the grid comes back up the internet connection will auto reconnect ASAP. I will have a remote access but not in case of any hardware failure (it is running on a Lenovo rackmount server with spare PSU, RAID, hotspare drives ready etc) so the chance of it is happening is.. slim :) Cheers! |

Yes, sorry about yesterday - while the server was doing a live backup it ran out of disk space on the backup drive which paused the VM for a few hours while I was asleep! You can set the limit of how many tasks get uploaded at once locally though, somebody posted earlier the config option. |

There is setting max_results_accepted to 120 on the server side but it doesn't seem to be doing what it should? Anyways I upped it again to 80MB, Not many people have this many cores :) I am myself at 56 threads max in one server :D |

I have further increased the max buffer size from 20MB to 40MB, try now :) when BOINC uploads all 1086 tasks at once it runs out of buffers on the reverse proxy, if it keeps persisting, I will either increase even further or it is better to set maximum upload batch to something like 500 tasks <max_tasks_reported>500</max_tasks_reported> |

Apparently it is tied only to this forum section the 504 errors? |

I've fixed the file permissions on behalf of ice, let's see what else is broken. I was told of some error with forums while I was away (timeouts), is it still happening? |

This was my fault - in the new server hosting there's a reverse proxy in front of the BOINC (as there's multiple websites hosted on the cluster) and it had a default upload size set. Hoping 20MB will be enough! However still maintenance is on-going so uploads will most likely fail. |
