1) Message boards : Number crunching : ODLK3 work units fail but ODLKMAX work fine (Message 3613)

With no other input I will reset the project and see how that goes.

I had 938 work units down load and 458 of them had errors, all ODLK3 types.

On my Ryzen 9 5900 running Linux all my ODLK3 work units are crashing with a Output File Absent error message.

However all my ODLKMax work units are running fine with no issues on the same machine.

I have just downloaded 500 odd work units so I am not going through thrm one by one to abort the ODLK3 work units, they will just have to fail.

Thanks

This is an Expired Certificate issue that does not belong to this or any other projects,

It is a certificate that has expired called IdentTrust DST Root CA X3 that has run from the year 2000 to September 30 2021 and has now expired. Let's Encrypt is the company supplying the certificate.

It deals with HTTPS access to the Web and will stop access if you are using it.
It can't apparently just be extended, and affects most devices prior to 2017. Windows XP Service pack 2 is affected but service pack is not (to a degree), lots of Apple devices and old phones will stop working and can't access the web.

There is a replacement Certificate called ISRG Root X1 and you can get it in a more recent CA Certificate bundle.
Some people have copied the version running in a recent Linux (which does not seem to be affected, probably because Firefox is the only browser that does not rely on the computers certificates to access the net) and then copied that into their Windows machines which seem to have fixed the problem.

I updated my CA Certificate bundle and found that only Latin Squares (ODLK1) and ODLK were the only two projects that stopped working.
Even with the updated certificate I had to Remove and Add back each project to get them to work again.

All working again now.

More information is available on the net see Let's Encrypt expiration

4) Message boards : Number crunching : Concerning Badges (Message 212)

Would it be too much trouble to add a unique identifier for this project vs. ODLK? At least the signature site that I am using is not displaying badges from this project because they are identical to the sister project. Perhaps a small "L" in a corner?

Your consideration is appreciated.

Yes some unique badges would be nice.
The project has the name Latin Squares, but the badges say ODLK.

January 17 has already passed.
BOINC project ODLK not included in the whitelist?

Well, I did not really want to :)

По-русски это звучит так: "Ну и не очень хотелось :)".

It may need a bit of time to add the project after polling has completed? Just a thought. With over 90% saying yes I can't see why it would not be added.
But I am not on Gridcoin, so I don't really know.

6) Questions and Answers : Web site : Find a team not working. (Message 63)

Find a team, not working, put in seti.usa and it takes me to SETI.Germany when i hit search.

I believe it could be that there is no seti.usa or SETI.USA team listed. No one has added the team yet.

Either you add the team then transfer the founder (you) back to the whom ever your seti.usa team founder is, or get them to register the team on this project.

I searched the teams list and can't find your team listed.

Yes can the Team function be enabled on this project?

I would like for my credits to be earned under my Team name as well as my own.

Thank you for the project
