Your personal background.
Unlike the main ingredient in marijuana, THC,
which can produce psychotic reactions and may worsen schizophrenia,
CBD has antipsychotic effects, according to previous research in both animals and humans.
Neither the patients nor the scientists knew who
was getting which drug. At the end of the four-week trial, both groups showed significant clinical
improvement in their schizophrenic symptoms, and there was no difference between those getting CBD or
amisulpride. "The results were amazing," says Daniele Piomelli, professor
of pharmacology at the University of California-Irvine and
a co-author of the study. These exciting findings should stimulate a great deal of research," says Dr. John Krystal, chair of psychiatry at Yale University School of Medicine, who was not associated with the research. He notes that CBD not only had fewer side effects, but also seemed to work better on schizophrenia’s so-called "negative symptoms," which are notoriously hard to treat. The new study confirmed that as CBD relieved patients’symptoms, anandamide levels rose in concert. "It looks like
anandamide is a signaling molecule that has evolved
to help us cope with stress," Piomelli says. "In the brain,
everything it does seems to be related to ways of relieving stress.
It can relieve anxiety and reduce the stress response.

CBD OIL from Hemp is legal in all 50 states.

All creatures that have a spine, have receptors for CBD and THC.
This system is called the endocannabinoid system or ECS and it is the
most widespread system in the body. When we ingest plant cannanoids like THC and CBD, they’re essentially flipping the same switches that our own endocannabinoids would normally
interact with. That’s why cannabis has so many potential medical benefits: our bodies are
already set up to receive its components. The job of the ECS is to regulate the
flow of signals that are being sent between cells with the goal of maintaining balance also called homeostasis.
The endocannabinoid system has an effect on embryological development, neural plasticity, neuroprotection, immunity and
inflammation, apoptosis and carcinogenesis,
pain and emotional memory, hunger, feeding and metabolism.
To FORGET emotional trauma and those memories.

RELAX THE BODY and the mind so it can repair and restore itself.

SLEEP so that the body will repair, renew and restore
itself. EAT so that the body will be nourished
and supported. Means that the cannabinoids work better together than when isolated from one another.
The synergy can enhance effects or amend effects beneficially.
In other words, a full spectrum cannabis product works more
effectively than an isolate. I attended a conference in Saskatoon recently
where I had the privilege of meeting and learning from Dr.

Robert Silver DVM, MS, CVA, on the subject of cannabis for pets.
He has many years of experience with medical cannabis in his Colorado clinic due it’s
legalization nearly10 years ago.

He shared with us what to look for when purchasing Hemp or Cannabis products.
The term "full spectrum" refers to the fact that the product
is not and "isolate", containing only one cannabinoid such
as what we are seeing in some products. The THC has been removed almost completely, but
the other cannabinoids and terpenes are still enough to create the "entourage effect".
What about toxicity of THC? There is a common fear
that THC is toxic to dogs. Putting this into perspective you can also say the water is toxic to dogs.

All things in moderation. What are the most common signs of excess cannabis exposure in pets?
So far cannabis looks to be beneficial in dogs but what about cats?
In an article by ElleVet they write that dosing for cats is very different than dogs.
They completed a 3 month study to ensure that cannabis was safe and effective on cats.
What they found is it is not only safe but offers
another avenue for pain as cats traditionally have very few
options for pain relief. What can our Veterinarians do?

This is a commentary article describing the key findings of the German chronic kidney disease (GCKD) study and how these relate to current practice. With the GCKD study showing high levels of polypharmacy, this article discusses ways to ensure that polypharmacy is appropriate and the difficulties faced within a chronic kidney disease population. Suggestions of ways to minimize medication burden in renal patients provide some practical advice for clinicians. This study provides us with a better understanding of polypharmacy and prescribing practices in CKD patients and highlights the need for us as clinicians to consider this burden at each patient contact and when making prescribing decisions. WHY IS POLYPHARMACY RELEVANT? When treating patients with many comorbidities, the use of multiple medications may be indicated and be of benefit. Inappropriate polypharmacy not only encompasses over-prescribing and incorrect prescribing, but also under-prescribing. Achieving a fine balance between appropriate and inappropriate polypharmacy is key for patients, and in CKD this may be more difficult when faced with a lack of evidence. WHAT ARE THE ISSUES WITH POLYPHARMACY AND CKD? It is unclear whether the additional complications associated with CKD progression are responsible for the increase in medication or if new therapies have just been added to the original medication regimen in the GCKD study.

Customers should always request third party lab results that test for potency, pesticides, residual solvents, and mycotoxins of the CBD hemp oil. If a company is reluctant to share these results with you, it should automatically be a red flag and indicate that they have something to hide. We’ve done the work and checked if these brands offer those tests to their customers. All the brands on this list at least offer tests showing the levels of CBD and THC in them (with THC under the legal limits for hemp of 0.3%), but brands which go further are rated higher.

About 12% of these are other healthcare supply, 2% are bottles, and 1% are herbal extract. A wide variety of cbd oil options are available to you, such as herbal extract, garlic extract, and tea extract. You can also choose from oil, powder, and wax. As well as from stevia extract, aloe vera extract, and epimedium extract. And whether cbd oil is leaf, bark, or shell. There are 422,946 cbd oil suppliers, mainly located in Asia. The top supplying countries are China (Mainland), Philippines, and United States, which supply 99%, 1%, and 1% of cbd oil respectively. Cbd oil products are most popular in North America, Western Europe, and Southeast Asia. You can ensure product safety by selecting from certified suppliers, including 12,691 with ISO9001, 8,079 with Other, and 3,508 with GMP certification.

It isn’t enough for a company to say they use third party testing to ensure the quality of their product. The best CBD brands make those tests readily available to the consumer on their website BEFORE they buy. Although testing for pesticides, heavy metals and CBD levels is critical, the better companies also include a full cannabinoid profile test as well as a terpene analysis to demonstrate the quality of a "full spectrum" CBD oil. I only give the highest ratings to those companies that are very good with making their labs available before purchase. In particular, those that include batch testing with an archive that goes back to the history of the product get even more points for this critical quality indicator.

The cheapest way to refine CBD oil is to use inexpensive, but potentially toxic, chemicals such as propane or butane. The cleanest method, on the other hand, is CO2 extraction. Cold pressed ethanol extraction is also considered clean and is popular for those making full spectrum hemp oil. Look for manufacturers that are transparent about their refinement process. Chances are if they don’t tell you how it’s made, it’s because they don’t want you to know! When you refine any plant-based materials, there is a tendency to concentrate any residual pesticides and herbicides used in cultivation. Look for the organic label to be sure that you are not getting dosed with toxins alongside your CBDs. Just because something is labeled, does not mean it is accurate.

However, if little to no attempt is made to provide dosing information, then you can be pretty sure you are dealing with a crappy product. Dosing should be labeled in terms of mg per drop, pill, or edible serving. As we see more and more research and development around CBD oil, increasing attention is being paid to the ratio of CBD to THC. Although THC is technically a cannabinoid, it happens to be the one with the strongest psychoactive properties. It is also the most tightly regulated, and high levels of THC can make a product illegal in some states. Evidence is emerging that suggests the health benefits of CBD may be enhanced when THC is present for some conditions. The same can be said for rations of the other cannabinoids such as CBG or CBT present in the final product.

Although more research is needed to know the best ratios for specific health benefits, manufacturers that show awareness of the importance of cannabinoid profiling, with lab testing to verify them post-production, are positioning themselves as the future of the industry. One final note that I will end this section with is to give my readers a heads-up about how some unscrupulous companies are not above using fake customer reviews to achieve two main purposes. First, to imply their product cures specific and often very serious medical conditions. Since the companies themselves could be sued by the FDA for this practice, they sometimes will stuff the customer reviews to imply that their product can cure cancer or force MS into remission. Second, to provide a false sense of trust that their product is high quality. In fact, if you suspect the customer reviews on a site are fake or "stuffed", then it is more likely than not a sign of a poor quality product. Trust your instincts. If you think reviews seem fake and over-the-top, they probably are. It turns out; there is a lot to pay attention to when it comes to locating the best CBD oil. Don’t have time to compare all of the companies out there to find the best? Read on to learn more about my top picks.

If you follow natural health, you’ve likely heard of the exploding popularity of CBD oil for dogs. However, with its popularity comes a plethora of low quality sellers looking to make a quick buck. We put together this buying guide to help you choose a product that will make the most impact on your dog’s health. A certificate of analysis (abbreviated COA) contains laboratory testing results of your CBD oil. Ideally, the certificate should show high amounts of CBD and zero THC. If you cannot find a COA on the website of the CBD seller you’re considering, move on. Legitimate CBD oil brands will have nothing to hide.

You can view an example of a CBD COA here. The quality of CBD oil varies greatly. One of the most important factors in determining the quality and potency of a CBD product is the method in which the CBD is emulsified. Any quality CBD oil will at least boast "Liposomal
Emulsion", but ideally use "Nano-Sized Emulsion". Standard Emulsion: Large particles, poor absorption. Lowest quality and lowest price oils.
Liposomal Emulsion: Smaller particles, good absorption. Price will be slightly higher than cheap oils.
Nano-Sized Emulsion: Smallest particles, excellent absorption. Very few CBD brands produce their oils this way.
While all CBD from hemp should contain low THC (under .3%) we strongly recommend purchasing a product that contains zero
detectible THC on the certificate of analysis.

Dogs react much differently to THC than humans, and although
under .3% would never make human "high", even trace amounts of THC can have negative effects on small animals.
Again, this information should be viewable on the COA. As many of us already know, buying organic matters more for certain kinds of plants.
Because hemp has the unique ability to pull toxins from the soil, choosing an organic product is absolutely crucial.
If a product is not organic, simply skip it and choose a better option. If
the price of a CBD oil is significantly lower than others, odds are
the company is cutting corners on quality, or the amount of CBD is very low.
