You'll want to know you won't cause a flood when you turn your main water valve back on. I still haven't figured out how the gas ballast works since there
is no gas ballast valve like the one on the
genuine D25 nor anything internal in its place that could introduce
atmospheric pressure air into the exhaust stream.
Mine looks very similar except that there is no gas ballast valve
(visible near the belt guard), it doesn't have a belt guard, and

Only after writing this did I go look again at
the information on the nameplate - almost totally illegible but I could at least make out
"gas ballasted two-stage pump". 8. Wipe the new seal clean inside and out.
Wipe up any spilled oil on the pump and base.

the area between the two rubber lips. So, add oil only until the level is at
the bottom of the window.

Duniway doesn't say this but I've read it from other suppliers who warn of early failure if the pump is run immediately.
Mine doesn't actually say Precision Scientific D25
- the nameplate lists the manufacturer as Madden Brass, a division of Robinaire.
In fact, I didn't really even know whether it was a single stage or two stage pump until comparing photos of
several Precision Scientific pumps since no model number
was ever legible. Instead of calling the specialists again and again separately for different appliances, you can save a lot of time by
letting an appliance repair service complete the job in a single
go. This would be respectable for a single stage pump with filthy oil
- which this has. But for a two stage pump, it should
do much better. My suspicion at this point was that
something was wrong with the second stage. Research shows that
every car-share vehicle on the road replaces seven to eight owned
vehicles, due to people selling their cars or
deciding against buying a second or third vehicle (source: Sydney Morning Herald).
