Hi,

the configuration of ODLK1 in new server is continuing.

Unfortunately we needed to compile all applications of assimilator and verificator as new OS was not compatible with the previous and use the latest BOINC tree for that.

Please do not activate now the tasks elaboration has there are other actions we need to complete the migration.

There will be a news when all it ok.

Thanks

ice00, you should shut off the download/upload services. Tasks are being sent out with download errors. Or disable the app versions that do not work, like the windows versions.

WUProp has detected that the project is active so users will be coming here. Thus me.

My apologies, I had a large number of hosts set to be asking for ODLK1 work in anticipation of the project's return. I was not aware this would be a problem. I have set them all for "No New Tasks" now. Shall I abort the work that has recently been completed?

No problem, this was a precaution taken to avoid that users lost credits if something goes wrong during configuration.

Actually the server is using the last BOINC source code as it is the one that can run onto last Ubuntu server (and it has some problems that were fixed by developer in September).
However DB was in the state of server failure, so there could be some problems in run it with new BOINC code.

However you can leave the completed work and not abort them (maybe the configuration can finish before they will goes in time out and not credits will be given).

I let the cron being on for some days as I need to collect log of a day usage.

WU and credits seems to going fine, however there are still some problems to fix.
You can add work download if you want (stop it if you see that credits are not given, as I cannot stop the service from remote in case of problem until I will be at home at night).

Hi,
good to see you are rising from the ashes again.

Some of my machines noticed that you are online again and started computing. On my profile I can see credits are being given, but as far as i can tell, the badges system is not working and credits are not propagating to boinc stats sites. (mentioning just for info)

Regards,
Petr

I see new badge, so that seems to be working. But task upload stopped working about half an hour ago

I had activated the log rotate on Boinc, as log start to be huge in this phase (as there are still some issues to fix, it has many rows added). During activation it is possible that that access error pop up.

However as after boinc services were restarted, i think upload should work now.

In the project preferences the option to select what application to run is missing.
Also the option to set de number of tasks to download and the number of CPU to use.

Sadly still the same problem. Just this morning it reports problem with different log

All night:
Oct 26 09:23:28 xxxxxxxxx boinc[855]: 26-Oct-2024 09:23:28 [latinsquares] Error reported by file upload server: can't open log file '../log_odlk1/file_upload_handler.log' (errno: 9)

This morning:
Oct 26 10:43:04 xxxxxxxxx boinc[855]: 26-Oct-2024 10:43:04 [latinsquares] Server can't open log file (../log_odlk1/scheduler.log)

Logrotate should not take more than a few seconds (if you use delay compress), so it seems more like wrong postrotate handler to me.

Today I did not get result in last 24h and this is very strange (no one in log or in result folder).

Can someone confirm that today the WU was processed correctly in their client?

ice00,
I've processed dozens of WUs today. Nothing is uploading on any of my 8 machines.
