Your personal background.
A support network can be anything from sober group
of friends or family, or a self-help group such as Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous.
Finding a support network for someone with
a co-occurring disorder can be more challenging depending on the
mental disorder of the individual, but there are many resources that can and should be utilized to
search for one. The Links page of this site has some of the available resources listed.
When working with individuals that may possibly have co-occurring disorders, or considering
the possibility of that you, yourself, may have co-occurring
disorders, it is important to make sure that an accurate and thorough
assessment is performed.
Being happy is in your mind. People with a multitude of handicaps can be very happy,
and there you sit as a fully functioning person and can't seem to catch
a break. Work has you down, your home life isn't peaceful, so what is going on? You could have stagnate negative
energy all around you. It can hang on in your aura and in the corners of your rooms.
You whole family may be feeling it to some degree, but perhaps you are more sensitive to it?
If you family is moping around, chances are it is effecting everyone on some level.
